Neutralyze Exfoliating Pads are pre-soaked, dual-textured acne pads built around DuoClear™, our 2% salicylic acid + 1% mandelic acid system. Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that is oil-soluble, so it works down into the pore to deep-clean it, help clear acne and breakouts, and help prevent new ones. Mandelic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) with a larger molecule than glycolic or lactic acid, so it works more gradually at the surface to sweep away dead skin and smooth rough texture. Each jar holds 100 pads with a smooth side and a textured side, and the low-alcohol formula leaves no sticky after-feel. Made for acne-prone skin on the face, back and body. About the Product:

DUOCLEAR™ 2% SALICYLIC + 1% MANDELIC, EXPLAINED

DuoClear™ is the Neutralyze salicylic + mandelic acid system, used in our Acne Face Wash, Exfoliating Pads and Renewal Complex. The two acids work at two depths. Salicylic acid (BHA) is oil-soluble, so it moves into the pore to deep-clean it and help clear the buildup behind blackheads and breakouts. Mandelic acid (AHA) is a larger molecule than glycolic or lactic acid, so it works more slowly and evenly at the surface to sweep away dead skin. Together they exfoliate at two depths, in a pad you can use every day.

TWO SIDES. SMOOTH + TEXTURED.

Each of the 100 pre-soaked pads has two sides. Use the smooth side for a quick, even sweep, and flip to the textured side when you want extra exfoliation on rough patches. A finger notch makes each pad easy to grip.

How to Use:

1. Patch-test first: for the first 3 days, use a pad sparingly on one or two small areas.
2. Swipe on clean skin: after cleansing, sweep a pad over your face, back or body. Use the smooth side for an even sweep and the textured side for extra exfoliation. Do not rinse.
3. Start slow: use once a day, then build to two or three times a day if needed. If dryness, peeling or irritation occurs, cut back to once a day or every other day.

Should I use Exfoliating Pads or Resurfacing Pads?

Choose Exfoliating Pads if your main concern is acne and breakouts; choose Neutralyze Resurfacing Pads if your main concern is rough texture, pores or fine lines. Exfoliating Pads use DuoClear™ 2% salicylic + 1% mandelic acid to clear pores and help prevent breakouts, while Resurfacing Pads use GlycoForte™ 20% glycolic acid for higher-strength surface resurfacing. Don't use both on the same night.
