Neutralyze was born in 2015, spearheaded by a family of entrepreneurs who had spent years battling severe acne themselves. They had spent thousands on celebrity-endorsed treatments, prescriptions, and crazy home remedies, and they were desperate to find something that actually worked.
In fact, after trying dozens of products that promised everything and delivered very little, they were almost ready to give up. Instead, they decided to build the products they couldn’t find.
This changed everything.
They realized the problem wasn’t their skin. It was the products: formulas built around marketing instead of what’s actually inside. So they set a different standard. Real active ingredients, at strengths that make a difference, made in the USA.
As Neutralyze grew, so did that standard. Today, every product in our line is formulated by cosmetic chemist George Deckner, who brings 40+ years in skincare and 200+ U.S. patents to every formula.
With George’s formulas, Neutralyze has grown from a single-concern acne brand into clinical everyday skincare: expert-formulated products for the things real people deal with every day, from oily-feeling skin and the look of clogged pores to rough texture.
Our line today includes Face Wash, Exfoliating Pads and Renewal Complex, with more pads on the way. All three pair 2% salicylic acid with 1% mandelic acid in our DuoClear™ system, formulated at a low pH so the acids stay in their active free-acid form instead of turning into salts (see the science). All three are fragrance-free, vegan, cruelty-free and made in the USA.
