3. Watch your stress levels
When your body becomes more stressed, it can release hormones that drive oil glands to produce more oil. That’s no good. Take a second and ask yourself what is making you stressed. Often a simple a breathing exercise or even practicing mindfulness meditation will help you relax again.
Sleep is also very important. Be sure that you’re getting enough sleep throughout the day, or your body can promote an increase in the stress hormone cortisol, which eventually leads to acne. Be aware that acne itself can be the cause of your stress.
